PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate variation in the cushioning properties depending upon physical difference of occupants and solve the troublesomeness in mounting. SOLUTION: Vehicle seat according to the invention is structured so that a plate 31 is installed on a back supporting frame 3 through a wire spring 32 in such a way as movable fore and aft and is furnished with a resilience adjusting plate 40 to move fore and aft relative to the plate 31, in which a lower engagement part 55 is formed in the lower prescribed position on the resilience adjusting plate 40, and further the plate 31 is provided with a lower opening 60 to admit fitting of the lower engagement par 55 movably up and down, and in the lower engagement part 55, a cable inserting groove 58 is formed to admit insertion of the tip of the inner cable 57 of a wire cable 56 which is to adjust the resilience of the resilience adjusting plate 40.
