PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat in which holding property is secured when occupant is sitting, and ascending/descending property is secured enough when occupant gets on and off. SOLUTION: The vehicle seat comprises a cushion 27 supporting seat skin 25 from the inside at a position of a side support part 13, a retaining member 42 holding a cushion 27, a first supporting member which turnably supports one end of retaining member 42 in the front and the rear directions of the seat body, a second supporting member 45 one end of which is turnably connected to the other end of the retaining member 42, an actuator 50 which reciprocates the other end of the second supporting member 45 along rear surface of the seat body to raise and tilt the second supporting member 45, a detection means for detecting the opening and closing of the door, and a control means which drives the actuator 50 till cushion 27 is turned to a predetermined position of the rear side of the seat body when the door is open, and drives the actuator 50 till the cushion 27 is turned to a predetermined position of the front side of the seat body when the door is closed.
