The IC engine control system has a throttle control unit (20), an rpm meter (13) and a pressure sensor (11) which measures the pressure in the suction pipe. The control unit also calculates the atmospheric pressure from the data provided by the pressure sensor and controls the opening of the throttle accordingly. An independent claim is included for a similar system with a learning function.
