An apparatus for sterilizing water and wastewater using ultraviolet rays is provided to improve treatment efficiency of water to be treated by preventing sludge or contaminants from being adhered to a ultraviolet lamp and maximizing sterilization power. An apparatus(10) for sterilizing water and wastewater using ultraviolet rays comprises: a treatment tank(20) having a cylindrical internal space; a ultraviolet lamp module(70) which is installed in the center of the internal space of the treatment tank such that the ultraviolet lamp module extends vertically to irradiate ultraviolet rays; an inflow pipe(40) communicated with the internal space of the treatment tank such that water to be treated flows into the treatment tank; a spiral flow path vibrating means(80) vibrated in both upward and downward directions by a water current flown in while forming, along a vertical direction, a spiral track between an inner wall of the treatment tank and the ultraviolet lamp module; an air supply means(60) for supplying air into the treatment tank; and a discharge pipe for discharging the water to be treated that has been treated in the treatment tank. |
