RECORDING MEDIUM FOR INKJET AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium for inkjet which can obtain a recording image having excellent gloss feeling and high definition and has little paper dust.

SOLUTION: A coating liquid for cast coat layer containing no cationic substance is applied on a support containing the cationic substance. The support has an undercoat layer containing at least a water-soluble binder and the cationic substance provided on the support. Preferably, the cationic substance is an allylamine-based cationic macromolecular compound having a weight-average molecular weight of 3,000 or more and a cationization density of 5.0 meq/g or more.
