<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving sheet which has good transferring properties of a protective layer on a receiving layer face from an ink ribbon, excellent releasing performance of the ink ribbon from the receiving layer face, and high recording density even when high speed printing by a thermal printer is performed. <P>SOLUTION: A thermal transfer receiving sheet comprises a sheet-like substrate and an image receiving layer formed on at least one face of this sheet-like substrate.
