BIDIRECTIONAL SIGNAL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a considerable problem that a signal is deteriorated and can not be reproduced resulting in video image reproduction incapability upon shooting of real scenes when the distance between a camera head part and a CCU is in excess of 1 km.

SOLUTION: A bidirectional signal transmission system having an imaging device, a control device for control of the imaging device and a transmission channel for connecting the imaging device and the control device is disclosed, wherein the imaging device includes a signal send-back means for inputting a test signal output from the control device and sending a sendback signal of the test signal back to the control device, and the control device includes a first delay time detecting means for detecting a delay time spanning from the output of the test signal to the input of the sendback signal.
