PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transmitter capable of informing a reception-side device operator of a vertical and lateral direction of a received image without errors.

SOLUTION: When a transmission image 27 is transmitted from a transmission-side mobile phone 1 to a reception-side mobile phone 2, the transmission-side mobile phone 1 combines the transmission image 27 and an attitude image 28 showing the vertical and lateral direction of the transmission image 27 by a composite image generation part and transmits an image signal representing a generated composite image 29. Therefore, an operator of the reception-side mobile phone 2 can be informed of the vertical and lateral direction of the transmission image 27 without errors because the composite image 29 including the attitude image 28 is displayed as reception image 20 on a display part 11 of the reception-side mobile phone 2. Consequently, the operator of the reception-side mobile phone 2 is prevented from recognizing the transmission image 27 as a laterally or vertically inverted image.
