PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight module with luminance quality of a light guide plate secured.

SOLUTION: On a flexible printed board 33 mounting a light source 32 on one main face with a light-irradiating face 32a of the light source 32 opposed to an incident face 31a of the light guide plate 31 to cover an incident face 31a side, an alignment opening 44 and a watermark part 49 enabled to visually recognize an opposing position of the light source 32 and the light guide plate 31 from a rear-face side are formed. The light source 32 can be precisely positioned against the light guide plate 31 to secure luminance quality of the latter 31.
