<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barcode reading method and device which improves a detection level by reading a barcode with a small contrast ratio with no stresses and suppresses the influence of shiningness on a barcode surface. <P>SOLUTION: The barcode reading method uses at least two types of light sources as a light source for emitting light to a barcode at the same time.
