<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam generator for the eyes having an effect for improving three signs on near looking reaction causing lowering of sight. <P>SOLUTION: The steam generator 10 for the eyes has a steam warming heat generating part 11 utilizing the oxidation reaction of an oxidizable metal to apply steam to the eye and the periphery of the eye, and produces steam warming heat for 1-30 min from its surface brought into contact with the eye and the periphery of the eye to set the temperature of the contact surface of the skin to 34-43°C over 1-120 min.
