PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of improving its design in a state of stop, and preventing a ceiling of an air conditioned-space from being contaminated by the supplied air. SOLUTION: This air conditioner is installed at an upper part of the air conditioned-space. The air conditioner 1 comprises a case 2, a first movable panel 3, and a movable panel moving mechanism 4. The case 2 has at least one supply opening 35 at its lower face. The first movable panel 3 opens and closes the supply opening 35. The movable panel moving mechanism 4 moves the first movable panel 3 between a first position for closing at least an outer part of the supply opening 35 and a second position opened to an outer side of the supply opening 35.
