PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a signal transmission system, capable of adjusting the amount of delay of a signal due to aging or temperature changes without having to mount receiver on a repeater. SOLUTION: The signal transmission system includes a controller 32 which switches repeaters 3 cascaded between a base station 1 and a terminating device 2 to form a plurality of signal paths from the base station 1 to the terminating device 2 via repeaters 3 when adjusting amounts of signal delay in repeaters 3<SB>n</SB>to 3<SB>N</SB>; and a delay difference detection part 33, which measures the amount of signal delay during formation of a first signal path and measures that during formation of a second signal path and detects the delay difference between both of the amounts of delay. The amounts of signal delay in the repeaters 3<SB>n</SB>to 3<SB>N</SB>are adjusted, according to this delay difference. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
