PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyvinyl chloride-based resin composition excellent in thermal stability and prevented from the decline in mechanical strength and transparency as well even if heated for a long time, and also good in appearance. SOLUTION: The polyvinyl chloride-based resin composition comprises (A) a polyvinyl chloride-based resin, (B) a graft copolymer wherein a vinyl monomer is graft-polymerized to a diene rubber polymer, and (C) an alkali metal carbonate. In this resin composition, the diene rubber polymer of (B) the graft copolymer is such as to be obtained by emulsion polymerization using an emulsifier comprising a sulfonic acid-based or sulfuric acid-based metal salt whose 10% mass reduction temperature determined by heat mass reduction measurement in air is higher than 250°C.
