PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair where a seat height is adjustable so as to get into a 4WD light car a 4WD light car using a lift or a slope without bringing the head contact with a ceiling of a rear door thereof while sitting in the wheelchair. SOLUTION: In the wheelchair supporting both sides of a rear part by large diameter rear wheels 11 and both sides of a front part by small diameter front wheels 10, a frame is formed by pivotally supporting both ends of a damper mechanism 5 extensible and provided with a locking mechanism through brackets 14 and 15 between horizontal cross pieces 12 and 13 fixed to the rear parts of the main frames 4 and the front parts of the auxiliary frame 6 in a pair of main frames 2, 3 and 4 and auxiliary frame 6, and the height position of a seat part 16 of the wheelchair is moved from a state 1 to a state 1a in a reclined state by extension and reduction of the damper mechanism 5 and fixed at an optional position by pivotally supporting the hinge H of the T part of the main frame 3 reinforced with an auxiliary frame 7 in a rotatable manner.
