Disclosed is an occluder (7) for occluding openings (6, 6a) in human or animal bodies, especially an occluder (7) for the percutaneous transcatheter occlusion of atrial septal defects of the human or animal heart (1). The inventive occluder (7) or parts thereof (7) form an electrical resonant circuit, at least one conductor loop being provided that embodies the inductor of the resonant circuit, and the occluder (7) or parts thereof (7) being formed by the conductor loop.
