<p>Disclosed is a microplate with a well having not only high organic solvent resistance but also high resistance to acid and alkali solutions. This microplate enables to perform highly sensitive ultraviolet spectrometric determination and fluorometric determination. Specifically disclosed is a microplate having a well, wherein the lateral surface and the bottom surface of the well are respectively made of a glass, and the difference between the thermal expansion coefficient of the glass constituting the lateral surface and that of the glass constituting the bottom surface is within ± 10 x 10<SUP>-7</SUP>/°C.</p>
