The system has a receiver (2) e.g. frequency modulation (FM) receiver, which is supplied with electrical energy and is connected with an antenna system to receive meteorological data. A data memory (8) e.g. mini disc (MD), is attached to the receiver for temporary storage of the received data, where the data is provided to an external computer evaluation system (6) for processing. The components are arranged in a transportable housing (10) preferably a suit-case, where the system (6) is integrated in a cover or a wall of the housing and is removable from the housing.
