The oral registration apparatus comprises an upper jaw plate (A), a lower jaw plate (B) and a connector (C). The upper plate is U-shaped and has a bore (28) at the front in which a guide bolt (2) fits and two auxiliary guide bolts (3) at its front. The lower plate has a guide plate (34) at the front and movement control sleeves (11) at the rear. The connector has bolts which fit through slots in the plates , the slots and bolts being at least partially magnetic.
