The present invention relates to an assembly (1) of a pan (3) and a draining element (2), wherein the draining element comprises a plastic element with at least one opening (5) and with a form substantially corresponding to the form of the opening of the pan and wherein the plastic element is placed during use in the opening of the pan, and wherein the plastic element has a greater linear coefficient of expansion than the material from which the pan is manufactured such that, when the pan is heated during use, the plastic element enters into clamping contact with the wall of the pan.
