A planetary geared turbocharger is provided to easily obtain high low-end torque by controlling motor speed even when flow amount of a turbine is less, and to obtain rapid response speed by using speed control of an electric motor. A planetary-geared turbocharger comprises a planetary gear(8), a turbine(4), a compressor(6), a waist gate(10), a controller(18) and a hall sensor(22). The planetary gear controls rotation speed of the turbine and the compressor. The turbine is supplied with energy from exhaust gas of an engine and rotated. The compressor receives speed and torque provided from the planetary gear and turbocharges inflow air to have a desired target value. The waist gate discharges some of extra exhaust gas to downstream of the engine. The controller is connected to the planetary gear and controls an electric motor for varying speed of the compressor according to turbine speed and engine demand conditions. The hall sensor measures turbine wheel speed.
