<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct AC-AC power converter which can reduce a withstanding voltage of a capacitor for use in a clamp circuit by a simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: Capacitors C1, C2 are charged by regeneration currents from an inverter 2 in a state that the capacitors C1, C2 are connected in series between a first DC link L1 and a second DC link L2. At the same time, the capacitors C1, C2 are discharged in a state that the capacitors C1, C2 are connected in parallel between the first DC link L1 and the second DC link L2 by turning on first and second switching circuits (Q1, D11, Q2 and D12) at discharging. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
