<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light distribution variable type headlamp capable of forming an irradiation image adaptable to a curved path with desired brightness while restraining power consumption without causing complication or increase of size and weight of a device. <P>SOLUTION: This light distribution variable type headlamp 10 is provided with: a reflector 12 comprising a concave mirror for reflecting luminous flux toward the front side; a light source 13 arranged in the vicinity of a first focal point F1 thereof; a convex lens 14 arranged in front of it for emitting the luminous flux from the light source 13 to the front side; and a shade 15 arranged in the vicinity of a second focal point F2 of the reflector 12 between the convex lens 14 and the light source 13 for blocking incidence to the convex lens 14 of the luminous flux directed to the upper part of the convex lens 14 within the luminous flux emitted from the light source 13 and reflected by the reflector 12. The shade 15 and the convex lens 14 can be integrally rotated in a horizontal plane while keeping a mutual positional relationship to laterally displace an irradiation region by the luminous flux emitted from the convex lens 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
