PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a switch guard capable of preventing a wrong operation of a switch of an apparatus. SOLUTION: On a surface sheet 4 of an operation panel, a plurality of hole parts 9 are formed at positions surrounding a tact switch 5 arranged on a board 6 on the back side of the operation panel. A card member 11 is manufactured by making acrylic segments 1 each having a shape and a size equal to those of the hole parts 9, and by bonding them to positions, corresponding to the hole parts 9, of an adhesive layer 21 formed by a double-sided tape 2 on a base plate 3. The acrylic segments 1 of the card member 1 are inserted into the hole parts 9 from the back side of the surface sheet 4, and the remaining adhesive layer 21 is attached to the back side of the surface sheet 4.
