PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a sufficient lifetime of an external heating belt by improving the durability of the external heating belt in a fixing device equipped with a restricting member restricting the position of the external heating belt along an axis of rotation. SOLUTION: An endless belt 83 has a base made of polyimide whose tensile strength is≥300 MPa and whose layer thickness is 50 to 200μm and a release layer, and in the base, graphite is dispersed at the ratio of 5 to 25 parts by weight for 100 parts by weight of polyimide.
