PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for measuring rotational position for detecting changes in the output value, even for accidents with minute failure change. SOLUTION: The rotational position measuring device of measuring a rotational position or an angle, based on a sine signal and a cosine signal generated at the rotational position of a rotating shaft comprises a successively calculating means (S4) for successively calculating a sum of each square of the sine signal and the cosine signal; a change calculating means (S6) for calculating the change in the sum calculated by the successively calculating means (S4); and a determining means (S6) for determining whether the change calculated by the change calculating means exceeds a prescribed value.
