PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet coating apparatus equipped with a washing device for washing an ink jet head and constituted so as to efficiently apply a pressing force to the discharge surface of the ink jet head through a penetrable washing member to prevent trouble such as the arrangement shift of the ink jet head. SOLUTION: In the ink jet coating apparatus constituted so as to press the washing member 1, into which the washing liquid penetrates, to the discharge surface 4a of the ink jet head 4, an elastomer 3 comprising a rubbery material is provided to the lower part of the washing member 1 and formed so as not to be brought into contact with the end edge 4b of the discharge surface 4a when the elastomer 3 is pressed to the discharge surface of the ink jet head without interposing the washing member 1.
