PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric water heater capable of avoiding the lowering of the liquid temperature upon discharging liquid in a container and efficiently heating liquid supplied at the same time. SOLUTION: The heater comprises: a container 24 for housing liquid 22; a heating means 25 for heating the liquid 22; a storage tank 23 for storing the liquid to be supplied for the container 24; a liquid supply passage 27 for communicating a liquid supply port 24c provided for the container 24 with the storage tank 23; a guide passage 31 which is connected to a liquid reception port 24b of the container to guide the liquid to a discharge port 30; and a partition plate 24c for dividing an inside of the container 24 into a side of the liquid feeding port 24c and a side of the liquid reception port 24b. Thus, since the inside of the container 24 is divided, the liquid supplied to the container 24 from the storage tank 23 is not mixed, the temperature is not lowered, and the liquid supplied at the same time can efficiently be heated on the side of liquid feeding port 24c of the container upon discharging the liquid 22 in the container.
