PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical diagnostic imaging support apparatus in which eccentricity information taken out from image data can be displayed on a display and a medical diagnostic imaging support method used in the same. SOLUTION: The medical diagnostic imaging support apparatus is equipped with a body area extracting means 33 extracting a body area extracted out from the image data and becoming a calculation objective area, a bone area extracting means 34 extracting a bone area from the body area, a characteristic quantity calculating means 35 carrying out characteristic calculating processing for calculating the eccentricity using the extracted body area and bone area, an eccentricity calculating means 36 carrying out eccentricity calculation processing from each of the calculated characteristic quantity, an analysis result information forming means 37 forming analysis result information from the eccentricity, and an analysis result information display means 38 displaying the analysis result information on the display, the treating will of a subject is enhanced by the analysis result information from the eccentricity by making it possible to easily grasp the eccentricity of the subject from the analysis result information from the eccentricity.
