The present invention relates to an amorphous form of olanzapine Formula (I): and a process for its preparation. The present invention further relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising an amorphous form of olanzapine (I). The pharmaceutical composition may be used, in particular, for the treatment of psychiatric, psychological or psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, or gastrointestinal or functional bowel disorders. The present invention also relates to a method of treating said disorders.
