摘要 A structure of a powertrain in a hybrid vehicle is provided to supply increased torque to a transmission device at the initial start of a vehicle by operating a planetary brake to lock a sun gear of a planetary gear set, and to supply driving power of the motor without increasing the number of rotation of the motor to vehicle wheels by disengaging the planetary brake and engaging a planetary clutch, thereby allowing installation of a small capacity motor. A structure of a powertrain in a hybrid vehicle comprises a torque converter(5) having an impeller connected to an engine(3) through a torque converter case(1), a motor(9) installed between the torque converter and a transmission device(7), an engine clutch(13) connecting or disconnecting a turbine of the torque converter and an input shaft(11) of the transmission device, a planetary gear set(15) having a ring gear connected to a rotor of the motor and having a carrier connected to the input shaft of the transmission device, a planetary brake(17) regulating a sun gear to be stationary or rotated, and a planetary clutch(19) connecting or disconnecting the ring gear and the carrier of the planetary gear set. The planetary gear set is positioned at inner space of the rotor of the motor. The engine clutch is installed adjacent to the turbine inside the torque converter case.
