PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve a problem that when reducing speed by stepping on a brake pedal, and stopping and then starting on a slope in a disengaged state of the clutch, occasionally a work vehicle travels downward spontaneously. SOLUTION: The work vehicle is provided with a hydraulic continuously variable transmission 21 changing vehicle speed, a speed change actuator 86 changing an output rotational frequency of the hydraulic continuously variable transmission, a clutch 61 connecting and disconnecting transmission of power between a drive source and an output shaft, clutch actuators 82, 83 operating the clutch, a brake 74 arranged on a traveling output shaft, the brake pedal 75 carrying out braking operation of the brake, a means 71 for detecting operation of the brake pedal, and a control means for controlling the actuator, the clutch, or the like. A traveling speed detecting means is arranged in a traveling part and connected to the control means 81. Control is carried out such that if there is brake pedal stepping operation, the clutch is disconnected, the hydraulic continuously variable transmission is changed in response to a reduced speed, and the clutch is connected right before a traveling speed is at stoppage.
