PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polygon mirror motor in which effect of distortion by the contact of a screw clamp and a pressing piece is equal and slight on each reflection area and installing operation of a mirror pressing member is therefore facilitated. SOLUTION: The polygon mirror motor is equipped with: a polygon mirror 5 that has a center hole 5a fitting to the center projection of a turntable 2 installed on a rotary shaft 1 and that is seated on the mirror receptacle 2a of the turntable 2; and a mirror pressing member 7 that is fixed to the upper end of the rotary shaft 1 by the screwing of a fixing screw 6 and that presses the polygon mirror 5 with six pressing spring pieces 7b each bulged out equidistantly in the radial direction from the center. The fixing screw 6 is screwed on the center of the upper end of the rotary shaft 1. The folding part F of the pressing spring piece 7b has a spiny piece S with the center of the lower end side E projecting downward. The pointed end P of the spiny piece is engaged with a tapered hole H provided on each line connecting each corner D between reflection areas R at equal distance from the center of the polygon mirror 5, the pointed end P and the tapered hole H constitutes a means for positioning the pressing member.
