PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the number of persons who can pass through a gate device in an emergency or the like. SOLUTION: When a switch 30 of an alarm device 300 is pushed and turned ON, the alarm device 300 sends an alarm signal S1 to a control part 20. Accordingly, a control part 20 makes motors 4 and 4 rotate and 4, and a belt 3 run. When the belt 3 runs, a gate 100a attached to the belt is given a driving force and moves in the direction from the point A to the point B. In this way, by having the right gate 100a move, passageway between the right gate 100a and the left gate 100b widens, and at the same time, the number of persons who can pass there is increased.
