摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure in line a thickness of an object having a complicated shape other than a cylindrical shape, in an extrusion molding process. SOLUTION: This noncontact type ultrasonic thickness measuring instrument includes a measuring head control part for controlling a position and an angle of a measuring head 1 in the optimum position and angle optimum for measuring the thickness of the measured object 5, by controlling a head distance regulation part 2, a head angle regulation part 3 and a measuring position regulation part 4, and an ultrasonic sensor control part for receiving a reflected wave pulse signal from the measured object 5 in an ultrasonic pulse signal output from the measuring head 1, and for measuring the thickness of the measured object 5 by computing the thickness of the measured object 5, based on a waveform of the received reflected wave pulse signal.
