PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the glossiness of an image recording region to be reduced. SOLUTION: This image recording device 1 comprises a first recording head 7, a second recording head 8, an ultraviolet ray radiating device 9, and a control section 13. In this case, the first recording head 7 discharges a color ink onto a recording medium. The second recording head 8 discharges a high lightness ink onto the recording medium. The ultraviolet ray radiating device 9 radiates the ink droplets with an ultraviolet ray. The control section 13 records an image by repeating a recording process a plurality of times. In the recording process, after the color ink is discharged and hardened, the high lightness ink is discharged and hardened. In the image recording device 1, the high lightness ink is discharged in such a manner that the highest frequency component of a spacial frequency may become 100 to 720 (1/inch), and also, the high lightness ink amount being discharged onto a specified region in which the image is recorded may become less than the ink amount required for recording the solid image in the specified region.
