PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair-type treatment machine that gives treatment by moving treatment elements up and down along the back of a person to be treated in which the human body is effectively prevented from being pinched by a back treating mechanism in the lower position of a backrest section even when the treatment elements of the back treating mechanism projects forward extensivly. SOLUTION: The treatment machine has a seat section 11a and the backrest section 12a. The treatment machine gives treatment effect upon the body of a person to be treated by means of the treatment elements 311a provided on the back treating mechanism 3a freely movable along a center channel 121a of the backrest section 12a. The treatment machine further has body supporting sections 122a on right and left sides of the center channel 121a for supporting the person to be treated from the back. In the treatment machine, a pinching prevention member 5a is stretched between the right and left body supporting sections 122a via fastening members 54a so as to prevent the human body from being pinched by the back treatment mechanism 3a or the treatment elements 311a in the lower position of the center channel 121a.
