Blocking/Release device (D) for an adjustable wheel clevis (5) holding a wheel (4) with a substantially horizontally-aligned axis (9), with the clevis (5) being mounted so as to pivot on a substantially vertical axis (7) at one extremity of a leg (2) which is part support for an apparatus, the device (D) being equipped with indexing capacity to block the clevis (5) in relation to the leg (2) according to a predetermined orientation. The indexing mechanism includes blocking control (10) mounted on the leg (2) so as to allow for pivoting along a substantially horizontal axis (11), the blocking control (10) including one extremity (10a) serving as a lever and a second one (10c) equipped with a pin that interlocks with a blocker (15) joined to the clevis (5), a positioning system ensuring the stability of the blocking control in the first and second position, respectively activating and deactivating the indexing mechanism. |
