A vacuum valve drive mechanism is provided to displace a valve seat without causing skew of a valve closer related to the valve seat due to undesirable contact between the valve closer and a valve housing. A vacuum valve drive mechanism includes a valve closer, a drive mechanism(1), a housing(5), an adjustment shaft(3), a piston(7), and two connecting rods(8,9). The valve closer is installed at the drive mechanism. The housing has an operation space in a substantial sealing state. The piston is installed in the operation space. The piston is moved along the adjustment shaft. The piston has a cross-section corresponding to the operation space. The two connecting rods are fixed to the piston. The two connecting rods extend parallel to the adjustment shaft.
