A punch press is provided to prevent localized depression of a molded product, by cutting a clearance which does not affect the molding of the product and assisting introduction of a material when the introduction of a blank does not satisfy the condition for performing a molding process. A lower punch(3) is mounted on a lower bolster(5), and a blank holder(9) is mounted on the lower bolster through a cushion pin(7) in the outside of the lower punch. An upper mold(11) is mounted on a slider(13) over the lower punch so as to form a product by pressing a blank arranged between the slider and the lower punch. The upper mold and the lower punch have molding faces on which a split unit is mounted. The split unit includes a recess(15) and a split bead(17). The recess is formed from the molding face of the upper mold so as to cut one side of a clearance which does not affect the molding of the product. The split bead is arranged on the molding face of the lower punch such that the split bead is matched to the recess, and has a front end equipped with a sharp triangular split bead blade.
