LIGHT SOURCE UNIT AND DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source unit or a display device capable of preventing uplift of a light source holder to prevent the engagement of the light source holder with a chassis from being released.

SOLUTION: The light source holder 122 mounted on an end of a light source 12 is provided with a slit groove 128 for fitting the light source 12 and an electric cable 125 attached to an end of the light source 12 therein on the front side, and an engagement part 123 locked to a part 111 to be engaged arranged on the chassis 11 on the back side. The light sources 12 with the light source holders 122 mounted thereon are arranged on the front side of the chassis 11. A cover member 13 is arranged to cover ends of the light sources 12 arranged on the front side of the chassis 11. The cover member 13 is provided with ribs 133 being pressing pieces each used for restricting the movement of the light source holder 122 by contacting the front surface of the light source holder 122 to intersect with the slit groove 128 at a position where it overlaps the engagement part 123 of the light source holder 122.
