PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anode material for a lithium-ion secondary battery capable of realizing excellent cycle characteristics, and a manufacturing method of the anode material. SOLUTION: The anode material for the lithium-ion secondary battery is provided with an outer skin SS, a hollow part IE wrapped in the outer skin SS, and a wrapping member IM equipped with a first lithium-ion storage member IA arranged inside the hollow part IE. The anode material can be manufactured by preparing a core material mixing a volatile member vaporized by heat and the first lithium-ion storage member IA, forming a coating film on a surface of the core material, and then, heating and vaporizing the volatile member of the core material.
