PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure security of a source image to be outputted at a receiving side, when facsimile communication is conducted, even if it is a source image that does not contain a specific image. SOLUTION: When transmitting image data of a source image, a transmission-side image communication apparatus transmits the image data, while appending image data of a specific image thereto. A reception-side image communication apparatus composites the source image and the specific image, based on the received image data and prints out a composited image.
