PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AV (audio visual) system, an audio control apparatus, an audio/video control apparatus, and an audio control method capable of improving the convenience of passengers of a vehicle. SOLUTION: A wide display apparatus 200 displays video images from different content sources on split screens 210, 220 at the same time. A headphone connected to headphone output terminals 240, 250 and a speaker provide output audios from the different content sources at the same time. An instruction processing section 430 controls the output audios. An operation section comprising a combination of, e.g. remote controllers 310, 320, an ESW (escutcheon switch) 340, and an operation processing section 420 generates an operation signal whereby an operation signal input source can be identified and allows the instruction processing section 430 to individually control the output audios in response to the operation signal.
