PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound for suppressing allergen to enable to suppress allergen by a small amount of its without spoiling a feeling of living articles and a manufacturing method of it. SOLUTION: The compound for suppressing allergen comprises a lignophenol derivative, namely a compound which phenol or a phenol derivative is added to lignin, therefore by supplying the compound for suppressing allergen to an object for allergen, allergen suppressing effect can be added to the object for allergen without spoiling the feeling under natural humidity in daily life.
