<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve sealing performance against gas, in a valve assembly for a pressure vessel, and a pressure vessel. <P>SOLUTION: The valve assembly 20 for the pressure vessel has a mouthpiece part 22 attached to an opening provided in a gas reservoir, a valve part 24 adjusting supply of gas stored in the gas reservoir, and a sealing member 26 arranged between the mouthpiece part 22 and the valve part 24. The mouthpiece part 22 is characterized by that it is formed of a material with larger heat contraction than the valve part 24. It is preferable that the mouthpiece part 22 is formed of aluminum, aluminum ally, copper or copper alloy, and the valve part 24 is formed of ferroalloy such as stainless steel.
