<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a method for detecting a terminal operating a network address converter such as NAT or NAPT with higher precision. <P>SOLUTION: The method for detecting a network address converter for transferring network data to a first apparatus comprises: a step for acquiring the address of a second apparatus connected with a network, a step for making pseud network data where the number of times of transferring network data to above-mentioned address is set as the number of transfer times required for reaching the first apparatus, a step for transmitting the pseudo network data to the second apparatus, a step for detecting a message that the pseudo network data cannot be retransferred from the second apparatus, and a step for determining that the second apparatus is operating the network address converter in response to detection of the message. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
