<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attract a player's interest by displaying symbols superposed combinedly or moving freely relating to a pinball game machine. <P>SOLUTION: A picture synthesis means 30 reads symbols from a symbol storage means according to a combination pattern stored in a pattern storage means 20. The picture synthesis means 30 synthesizes the read symbols and converts them into picture signals, so that the synthesized symbols are displayed on a display device 40. This game machine sets a combination pattern of symbols according to a game state so as to provide a player with a pleasure of seeing the display device along with a pleasure of entering a game ball.
