PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, when a value relating to a recording/reproduction rate is measured in predetermined cycles, and the results are fed back to a recording or reproduction clock generating circuit to adjust a clock frequency so as to correct the frequency of a recording or reproduction clock, a phenomenon in which a variation of about several LSBs is repeated occurs due to the occurrence of an error of about 1 LSB in the measurement results or deviation of a disc from the center, so that glitch frequently occurs. SOLUTION: The optical disk drive comprises a measuring means for measuring the value relating to the recording/reproduction rate of an optical disc medium, a sampling means for sampling measured values obtained by the measuring means, a holding means for holding an output value from a correcting means, a comparing means for comparing a sample value newly sampled by the sampling means with the output value held by the holding means, and the correcting means for outputting one of the sample value and the output value based on the results of the comparison by the comparing means, or outputting a predetermined value irrespective of the results of the comparison.
