PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic program table generating apparatus for searching a program from an electronic program table with less amount of manipulations while keeping the shape of list. SOLUTION: The electronic program table generating apparatus 100 includes a remote control manipulating unit 103b for manipulations on the electronic program table, a program table region information holding unit 105 for holding divided regions on the electronic program table corresponding to arrangement of manipulation buttons of the remote control unit 103b, a processing contents holding unit 106 for holding contents of process for the electronic program table depending on manipulations of numerical buttons, and an EPG control unit 101a for various controls for generation and display of the electronic program table. The EPG control unit 101a reads, when a numerical button is depressed, a region corresponding to each numerical button from the program table region information holding unit 105 and manipulates the electronic program table in accordance with the process contents of the process contents holding unit 106 to the region obtained.
